An article may only be withdrawn prior to the start of the review process by submitting a formal request to the editor along with reasonable justification. Withdrawal after electronic publication is not permitted. To uphold ethical publishing standards, changes to an article after publication are not allowed.

Note: If, during an editorial board meeting, the board proposes publishing a manuscript in a different format, the authors may choose to withdraw their article. In such cases, the previous restriction on withdrawal does not apply.
