This study aimed to assess viewpoints of students of Shahid Sadoughi Unversity of Medical Sciences towards e-Learning in teaching clinical biochemistry.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. One hundred and fifty students of Shahid Sadoughi University participated in the study in 2011. A questionnaire was designed to assess viewpoints of students towards e-Learning.

Results: Those students who attended in two sessions of e-Learning of clinical biochemistry, including mechanisms of related disease, side by side of face to face education, have a positive attitude towards this method of learning.

Conclusions: Considering the positive attitude of the students towards e-Learning, and complexity and volume of basic science in medical universities, we suggest developing necessary infrastructures to add this method of learning to the curriculum of biochemistry and other basic sciences in medical universities of Iran.
